Meet Geri Johnson MDiv, LCMHC, LCAS, CCTP
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor | Clinical Addiction Specialist | Certified Clinical Trauma Professional
Geri Johnson believes healing begins by making peace with the past, grounding ourselves in the present, and moving forward with intention. She understands that each person’s journey is unique, shaped by both strengths and challenges, and that meaningful change happens through compassionate understanding and support.
Geri brings over 20 years of experience in the mental health and addiction field, having worked in community outpatient programs, inpatient treatment, street outreach, and women’s day treatment settings. Her professional path deepened following a life-threatening health experience in midlife, which inspired her to follow her calling to Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado.
At Naropa, Geri earned her Master of Divinity and trained as an interfaith hospital chaplain and therapist, completing a residency at a Level 1 trauma hospital. This transformative experience continues to shape her holistic, trauma-informed approach to care.
She is also a mindfulness meditation instructor. Geri offers telehealth therapy, providing a calm, supportive space to explore life transitions, grief, and healing.
